Thoughtfully engineered cellular construction creates insulating air pockets that help reduce heat transfer through your windows. Portrait™ Honeycomb Shades help keep rooms warmer in winter and cooler in summer, bringing comfort to every season.
Norman’s distinctive D-Cell construction supports crisp, consistent pleats while preserving the fabric’s insulating pockets. Single- and double-cell designs offer different proportions to complement your windows.
Every shade is custom-made for its opening. From everyday windows to patio doors, skylights, and specialty applications, Portrait™ offers configurations that deliver a coordinated look and tailored operation throughout your home.
Colours and Fabrics
Find a fabric that complements your interior and the atmosphere you want to create. Portrait™ offers a broad selection of colours and textures, including designer collections, in light-filtering and room-darkening fabrics.
Light-filtering fabrics soften incoming sunlight for a gentle glow. Room-darkening fabrics reduce light transmission for spaces where you prefer greater darkness.
Cell Sizes
Choose from six cell configurations:
- ⅜-inch single cell
- 9/16-inch single cell
- ¾-inch single cell
- 1¼-inch single cell
- ½-inch double cell
- ¾-inch double cell
Smaller cells create a closely spaced pleated appearance. Larger cells create broader proportions, while double-cell designs incorporate two rows of insulating pockets.
Cordless and Top-Down Bottom-Up Controls
Enjoy smooth, intuitive operation with SmartRise™ Cordless. Its design eliminates dangling lift cords and is Best for Kids certified.
For more flexible light and privacy control, choose a cordless Top-Down Bottom-Up configuration. Lower the shade from the top to admit daylight while keeping the lower part of the window covered, or raise it from the bottom to open your view.
A cordless Day & Night configuration is also available.
Motorization and AutoWand™
Adjust your shades to suit the rhythm of your day. Motorized Portrait™ shades offer control through a compatible smartphone setup, remote or voice assistant, with personalized schedules and scenes to coordinate shade positions.
Motorized configurations include Bottom-Up, Top-Down Bottom-Up and Day & Night options.
AutoWand™ brings one-touch motorized operation without requiring a connected smart-home system. It offers convenient powered adjustment with straightforward control.
SmartFit® for Doors and Tilt-In Windows
Create a close, integrated fit with SmartFit®. Designed without dangling cords, it is particularly useful for French doors and tilt-in windows, allowing the shade to move with the door or window.
SmartFit® and SmartFit® with frame configurations are available. The opening, handles and mounting space help determine the appropriate option.
Patio Doors, Skylights and Specialty Windows
Carry the cellular shade look across larger openings with vertical patio-door configurations, including Vertical Day & Night.
Motorized skylight and specialty-window solutions extend the collection to openings that require a different approach to fitting or operation. The available configuration depends on the opening’s shape, dimensions and access requirements.
Enhanced Light Control
Create a darker setting with optional side channels that help reduce light entering around the shade’s edges. They offer additional light control for bedrooms, media rooms and other spaces where greater darkness is preferred.
Fabric opacity, mounting position and coverage around the window all influence the finished result. We will help you select a combination suited to your room.
Easy to Maintain
Remove light dust with a soft brush or feather duster. You can also vacuum gently using a brush attachment on low suction. To clear dust from the cells, use compressed air or a hair dryer on its cool setting.
For spot cleaning, dampen a clean cloth or sponge with warm water and gently dab the mark. Add a mild detergent solution if needed. Blot without rubbing to avoid creasing the fabric, and allow the shade to dry fully lowered. Never immerse the headrail in liquid.
